Hommage a Magritte

This photomanipulation was inspired by the painting "The Red Model" by Magritte. The light and feeling of the picture is also inspired by one of my favorite artists Loretta Lux.

So, the foot is mine and my mom assisted me in shooting it in various angles and in a couple of heels. For the manip I used Photoshop CS3 and my entire weekend, hehe.

Moving on to some technicalities... The zipper was a pain to mask and I had to draw in the shadow(s) by hand, not very pleased with the result of it but I just couldn't stand working at them any longer. But overall, I like the picture, in a modern art/surrealistic/horrifying way.

Also, I'm a little scared of feet. They gross me out and I force my entire family to wear socks at all times. Therefore I'm positive this picture is going to cause me some nightmares...
